WE Soda reaches CDP’s prestigious 2024 Water Security ‘A’ List

We're a Water 'A List' organisation, recognised as a leader in corporate transparency and action on water security

November 2025

WE Soda has been recognised for its leadership in corporate sustainability, securing a place on CDP’s prestigious 2024 Water Security ‘A' List. WE Soda is one of only 133 companies to achieve the ‘A’ List Water Security score, out of 6,500+ companies assessed for water worldwide, showing significant demonstrable action to protect water resources and leading on ambition, action and transparency.

CDP - the world’s leading disclosure platform for companies, cities, states and regions - revealed that a record 22,700+ companies were scored across their assessment categories in 2024, as global momentum for transparency and environmental action continues to accelerate. However, of these just 2% (515 companies) achieved an ‘A’ List score, underlining that while ambition is growing, the bar for true environmental leadership remains rigorously high and it’s clear that while many companies are on a sustainable journey, their action needs to go deeper and faster.

CDP’s latest scores follow the introduction of a single corporate questionnaire, enabling unprecedented levels of environmental disclosure. Disclosing companies demonstrate what it takes to be future-fit: integrating environmental data into core business decisions, engaging their value chains, and setting a clear course toward an Earth-positive future.

Analysis shows that companies on CDP’s ‘A’ List have outperformed their peers, with an average of 6% higher stock returns over the past decade, reinforcing the fact that transparency and ambition are not just environmental virtues - they’re strategic advantages.

Commenting on the CDP evaluation, Alasdair Warren, CEO of WE Soda said:

“We are delighted that CDP has recognised us as a leader in Water Security. Operating responsibly in every aspect of our business is a priority and one where we will continue to strive to be the best-in-class in our industry and across all industries, worldwide”.

Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP stated that:

“The companies on CDP’s 'A' List are not only responding to this demand, but they are also setting the pace. They are weaving environmental stewardship into their governance, strategy and operations, and embracing transparency as a tool for growth. Their leadership is a blueprint for the economy we need. 2025 must be the year all companies move decisively from transparency to action. The companies that choose to disclose through CDP - and to be scored - are choosing progress. And they are choosing to lead.”
