Kazan started commercial operations at the end of 2017 following our investment of over US$1.9 billion to develop the facility. Kazan Soda produces ~3 million mt of soda ash and sodium bicarbonate annually. By mid-2026, we plan to increase production to ~4 million mt and further reduce our unit production costs.
Kazan Soda has an estimated 27 years of remaining mineable trona reserves, exploited using innovative solution extraction technology. The production plant consists of three sub-units: solution extraction, processing and a gas-powered cogen facility producing power and steam for use in the plant augmented with our onsite solar power and with excess power generation exported to the State grid.

Eti Soda is located in the same geographic region as Kazan Soda. Following over US$ 700 million of initial investment, commercial operations started in 2009. We further expanded our production facilities in 2017. Eti Soda produces and sells ~2 million mt of soda ash and sodium bicarbonate annually. Total combined production from Eti Soda is expected to remain at ~2 million mtpa.
Eti Soda was the first soda ash production facility in the world to utilise innovative solution extraction technology on a commercial scale and has an estimated 20 years of remaining mineable trona reserves.

As part of the WE Soda global family, WE Soda is the leading producer of natural soda ash in North America, with an annual capacity of 4.8 million short tons (4.3 million metric tonnes). Our operations are deeply rooted in Wyoming, where we proudly operate two of the world’s most advanced soda ash production facilities—Westvaco and Granger—near Green River.
Our Westvaco site extracts trona ore using long-wall conventional underground mining methods, and the processing plants, which utilize Mono, ELDM, and Sesqui processes, produce approximately 75% of our total US soda ash capacity.
Our Granger facility, recently expanded in 2023, employs secondary-recovery solution mining and contributes roughly 25% of our total US capacity.

Over 80% of our production from Türkiye is exported, with almost 70% exported in bulk from our dedicated port facility at Derince.
Approximately 300 km from our production facilities, Derince Port has a 330m long pier that can load the world’s largest bulk carrier ships at a rate of over 2,200 tonnes per hour. We also export in 27 tonne container liner bags and 1.25 tonne bags from other port facilities.

Key to our export strength is the T4 port operation in Portland, Oregon (with ~4 million mtpa export capacity), our global customer relationships and an extensive logistics infrastructure and network. As the largest supplier with the broadest reach in the global seaborne soda ash market, we are able to serve every customer in every end-market with natural soda ash, through the most resilient supply chain.
ANSAC is our wholly owned export sales and logistics subsidiary, a global logistics network which is particularly strong in South America and Asia and, in conjunction with our supply chain infrastructure across Europe, the UK and Türkiye, provides an exceptionally strong direct-to-customer offering worldwide.

We aim to apply our sustainability governance and practices to all our partners across our upstream and downstream supply chains. These factors are an important consideration during our procurement processes. To support our work in this area we began the development of a sustainable procurement platform, Promena, that will track, measure and assess our supply chain from an operational, environmental, social and governance perspective.
We were the first company in the world to develop a customer app that allows our customers to track individual bulk shipments, containers or even individual bags, enhancing our product traceability and customer service.
We are the largest global exporter of soda ash, delivering product from our two production facilities to over 200 individual destinations in 80 countries. To achieve this, we have an integrated global supply chain that operates 24/7.
In Türkiye, 100% of our production from Eti and Kazan is shipped by road via a fleet of over 450 silo trailers, with over 80% exported, mainly to Europe, Asia, China, South America, the Middle East and Africa, with small volumes also supplying the US East Coast.
Over 70% of our Turkish production volumes are sold via approximately 30 exclusive regional distributors around the world, under multi-year supply agreements. Our distributors are an extension of our global supply chain and serve small- and medium-sized industrial consumers in their designated supply regions.
